The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has authorized all media channels hosting game shows during Ramadan to terminate their airing in the last ‘Ashra’ of Ramadan. This was done to preserve the sanctity of the odd nights of Ramazan.
But it is disappointing to see that all the channels (except BOL) are continuing with their game show transmissions in the last Ashra as well. This not only shows that these channels don't give importance to the regulations but also they don't care much about the importance of the last ten days and odd nights of Ramazan. However, we must appreciate BOL which announced about termination of game show even before PEMRA's notification and is strictly following the policy of no game show in last Ashra.
