Hello Admin,

My thread got deleted.
REASON: Featuring violence, which is against forum posting policy

I need to know where I can find this line in your rule and regulations list. ( i tried but was not able to find it. my apologies)

I did not mind why you deleted my post but i need to know the reason. So what's happening in BURMA, KASHMIR, Palestine, Syria etc. We should not post those?

Please suggest.

Thanks!

Respected member, you might have been trying to find our policy in the section of discussion rules. Perhaps that is why you are unable to get my point. Policy and rules are not the same thing, as the rules are derived from the policy.

The reason of deletion of your post remains as stated.

There is a specific standard which the admin and the moderators try to maintain on the forum for the posted content according to our policy. Now, you may also post a thread on wrestling or boxing and we may not term it as being violent or too graphic, while technically speaking, these sports are violent. Therefore, we rely more on our judgment than having a straitjacket approach.

You are are one of our regular members and you may understand that it does not happen quite often with your other posts, therefore please do not think there is anything personal about it. It is only about this particular post under discussion, which has been rejected for the inappropriateness of its content for the masses.

You can post news and content about Kashmir, Iraq, Burma etc, but please do refer to how the mainstream media is posting it. Content which depicts violence of a level which may upset others by looking at it, will be taken off. Therefore, we advise you to share content which is sourced from a credible origin.

Thank you.

Hi Mod Aalif,
I completely understand your concern. These rules should be standardize. I also understand what could be pros and cons if you apply it or not. It's difficult. These are facts. If i record a video from my phone and upload as evidence in which all the faces, badges, time and date and locations are clear , still you will authenticate source?
You need to draw a line and take brave decision.

Thanks!

Respectable member,

Thank you for your considerate empathy. We do accept that we are in a phase of evolution. There is a lot that needs to be done.

If i record a video from my phone and upload as evidence in which all the faces, badges, time and date and locations are clear , still you will authenticate source?

For any media of this particular sort, it is required to be sent to our team via email, before posting on the forum. If the media, its references etc are verifiable, then we may post it. Sometimes, it may require a little editing, not to twist the facts, but to make it more appropriate for the viewer-ship of general audience.
