FO receives request about two Indian clerics

KARACHI: Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said on Thursday that an Indian request seeking assistance for the recovery of two clerics had been received.

He said the request had been forwarded to the interior ministry, which is actively pursuing the matter.
According to a report in the Times of India, two senior Indian clerics went missing from Lahore on Wednesday.

Asif Nizami and his brother Nazim Nizami, who belong to the Nizamuddin Auliya shrine in New Delhi, were on a religious tour in Pakistan when they are believed to have gone missing from Lahore.

The Indian high commissioner in Islamabad lodged a complaint with Pakistans foreign ministry.
There is a frequent exchange between the Khadims of Nizamuddin Auliya shrine and Data Darbar in Lahore.

this is really sad and worrying that such important clerics are still not traceable ,
may god keep them safe ,family members are very much worried.

India asks Pakistan to return two missing clerics

NEW DELHI: India has asked the Pakistan government to return two senior Indian clerics who have been missing from Lahore since Wednesday. Asif Nizami and his brother Nazim Nizami, senior clerics from Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya dargah in New Delhi were travelling in Pakistan on a religious tour, but are believed to have gone missing from Lahore.

The Indian high commissioner in Islamabad has lodged a strong complaint with the foreign ministry in Islamabad on Thursday evening. But sources here suspect the ISI, Pakistan's all-pervasive deep state, may have "picked them up" for reasons that are still unclear. The abduction of the Sufi clerics will be taken very seriously by India, sources said.

We have taken up this matter with Government of Pakistan and requested them for an update on both the Indian nationals in Pakistan./4

On the other hand, Sufis have come under attack from Islamist jihadis in Pakistan in recent months, with the Sehwan attack being the worst. But security sources here believe the Nizami brothers have not been taken by jihadi elements.

Saray adaab sirf humaray liay naheen hain....hindustan Yadav jaison ko bhaijta hai to wooh to safarti toor par saheeh :) india should learn the language it talks in with Pakistan :) one more thing who knows where these two people are....my guess they will be in india with RAW.

apko to pata hi hoga pakistan me log kaise missing persons ki list me a jate hai ?
