Can someone clarify if I read this correctly?
"Federal Government of Pakistan, in pursuance of recommendation of FIA due to the involvement of platform in highly intimidating posts on social media as reported in FIR No. *****, directed PTA to take action against the platform, whereof the action of blocking/ geofencing was taken"

In Pakistan, if journalism is telling government that you're not doing your job properly, government will, in return, tell journalism that you're not doing your job properly. This is what dictatorship is.
As far as I can tell, FIA is filled with superdumbos who have no idea how internet and social media workds. most of the content on siasat.pk, especially videos, are hosted elsewhere, such as Youtube, Twitter, Dailymotion, TikTok, etc.
Facebook take the largest chunk out of all social media platforms. Pakistani users on Twitter account to 4.65 million by early 2023.
Why target siasat.pk when most of the content is hosted on mutlinational social media platforms only?
