My friend I disagree with you. Hamid Gul would not remain silent on his mistakes and would admit them openly if that were the case but Hamid Gul has always defended the policies Pakistan adopted against the Soviets. US was a "friend" of Pakistan only because Pakistan and Americas interests converged back then. These seculars don't like him because Hamid Gul is an islamist and has sympathies for the Taliban.
