Police resorts to shelling on advancing marchers

ISLAMABAD: Police has started tear-gassing the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), who were heading towards the PM Secretariat on the call of their leadership, ARY News reported.
As the police started shelling, situation at the Constitution Avenue turned extremely violent. Police and the law enforcement personnel have also fired rubber bullets on the advancing protesters, due to which several marchers are reported to be injured.
Protesters are running here and there in search of a safe place, while our anchorperson Iqrarul Hassan reported live from the red zone that police is firing dozens of tear-gas shells at the protesters.
A large number of ambulances are moving towards the scene, in order to shift the injured to hospitals, while the marchers also included women and children.
