World War lll will involve the vast majority of the world's nations--including all of the world powers--eventually giving rise to two opposing military camps: the Allies and the Axis. It will be the most widespread and deadly war in history, with over 300 million people serving in military camps. The major opponents will throw their entire economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities into the war effort, erasing the distinction between civilian and military resources. Characterised by mass deaths of civilians, it will result in an estimated 255 million fatalities. These will make World War III the deadliest conflict in human history, shattering global stability and peace. This war is forecast to be started by the USA and Russia as the major opponents. The war has already made its emergence felt by confrontations between US-led NATO forces and Russia especially on Ukraine front.
The USA is determined to block the rise of the key nuclear-armed nations, Russia and China, neither of whom will join the "worlds acceptance of Washingtons hegemony",says head of the Institute for Political Economy, Paul Craig Roberts.
Dr Roberts writes on his blog that China is "confronted with the Pivot to Asia and the construction of new US naval and air bases to ensure Washingtons control of the South China Sea, now defined as an area of American National Interests."
Roberts maintains that Washingtons commitment to contain Russia is the reason for the crisis that Washington has created in Ukraine and for its use as anti-Russian propaganda.
The USA's aggression and blatant propaganda have convinced Russia and China that Washington intends war, and this realization has drawn the two countries into a strategic alliance.
Dr Roberts feels that neither Russia, nor China will meanwhile accept the so-called "vassalage status accepted by the UK, Germany, France and the rest of Europe, Canada, Japan and Australia." According to Dr Roberts, the "price of world peace is the worlds acceptance of Washingtons hegemony."
We can see that on the foreign policy front, the arrogance of Washingtons self-image as the 'exceptional, indispensable' state with hegemonic rights over other countries means that the world is heading towards a global war.
The presence of the Soviet Union plus* China as its international rivals armed with nuclear weapons has created a persistent fear in the United States.
The USAs new military strategy, on the other hand, views* China and Russia as aggressive and threatening to US security and therefore it considers it imperative to make the necessary preparation to deter.
A report released by General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the USA, warns of a low but growing probability of the US fighting a war with a major power, with immense consequences.
Russia has repeatedly demonstrated that it does not respect the sovereignty of its neighbors and it is willing to use force to achieve its goals, the 2015 National Military Strategy of the USA reports.
Russias military actions are undermining regional security directly and through proxy forces.
The report points to Russian troop presence in the Ukraine conflict, although Moscow categorically denies it has deployed its military forces in eastern Ukraine in order to bolster a separatist insurgency.
"Chinas actions are adding tension to the Asia-Pacific region, the document states, in reference to Chinas land reclamation efforts to build islands in the contested South China sea to boost its military and civilian presence.
Apart from China and Russia, the paper also includes Iran and North Korea highlighting their nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities in a list of countries that pose serious security concerns to America and its allies.
Future conflicts will come more rapidly, last longer, and take place on a much more technically challenging battlefield, he wrote in the foreword to the report.
The United Statess huge military force has an annual budget of about $600bn, dwarfing that of any other country.
The nuclear world war lll will cause the world catastrophic damages; it will mean almost a complete annihilation of life on the earth because it will be a war fought with nuclear weapons.
