JAMAICA: Emerging Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan who impressed many with his remarkable performance in the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) got rewarded on Friday after he was picked by a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise owned by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.
Trinbago Knight Riders, one of the six CPL franchises, signed Shadab Khan at $30, 000 slot in the CPL Draft 2017.
Our first pick at the 2017 #CPLDraft at $30,000 slot is from Pakistan Shadab Khan. Welcome Knight to the #TKR family!, a tweet by the franchise said.

The Trinbago Knight Riders is a franchise cricket team of the Caribbean Premier League based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The team is owned by Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.
Their company Red Chillies Entertainment also owns the Indian Premier Leagues Kolkata Knight Riders; this was the first time an IPL team has invested in a Twenty20 cricket league outside India.
Shadab Khan, who played for Islamabad United in the PSL, bagged 09 wickets and also made contributions with the bat.
He has also been invited by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to a training camp ahead of West Indies tour.
Islamabad United owner Ali Naqvi also congratulated Shadab Khan for being picked in the CPL.
