ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday released details of declared gold assets of Senators, with Senator Nawabzada Saifullah Magsi being on top with 1100 tolas of gold, Samaa reported.
Our correspondent quoting ECP data said that just 10% of the upper house lawmakers (25 senators) own 6,180 tolas of gold with an estimated worth of Rs309 million.
It said only three Senate members cumulatively own 3350 tola gold while ten other senators possess 100 tola each.
The ECP said Senator Nawabzada Saifullah Magsi is the richest among all in terms of gold holdings with 1100 tolas.
Senator Gul Muhammad Lat takes the second place with 1000 tolas of the precious metal, followed by Senator Rubina Khalid with 500 tolas.
Azam Hoti has 450 tola, Jaffar Iqbal 300, Raza Rabbani 220, Adnan Khan 200, Nuzhat Sadiq 160, Idress Khan Safi 150, Saleem Manduwi Wala 140, Kulsoom Parveen and Abbas Afridi 120 each and Usman Saifullah owns 110 tolas of gold, as declared in their asset details.
