Election Commission & Dark Clouds on Horizon

Couple of hours ago I saw a video in which Imran Khan pointed out on his plans of coming on roads against Election Commission. I have been watching closely on IKs stance on the election commission from almost three months. He is slowly mounting his attacks on the commission with his state of the art technique of blames and only blames but no solutions. He is heard saying Noon League has filled his people in Election Commission, but never named any one. He talks about the actions of the commission as biased but never tells which rules they have broken. Remember, his attacks on Justice Kiyani (ex-commissioner from Punjab). He was able to bring forward the proven Liar Afzal to back his stance. But when Liar Afzal was asked how Justice Kiyani affected the Election he said I dont know how. Yes He did not know how because Imran Khan did not know how.

Even now Khan sahib does not know what he is talking about. He presented his best team to the Electoral reforms committee. But that best team was not able to give a single idea to protect Imran Khan from loosing again by some supernatural phenomenon of Dhandhli. Khan sahib should call his best team and ask them why they were not able to present an iota of reforming the system. But I think Khan Sahib knows the best team will ask him about the leadership guidelines he gave them.

Zero plus zero equals zero

I said Dark Clouds on Horizon . Dont get carried away that I am referring to the forceful response from PTI youth. The clouds will emerge over Khan Sahibs own politics. November-2 failure of Khan sahib has given the best idea to the Noon league. Khan sahib be careful, now there will be no police protection and security to your processions and Jalsas. Know your fellowship, and dont take that risk. If there is no security given to your processions, you will not be able to do anything outside KPK. When you will turn and look back you will see none standing behind you. And please know that your politics is all on your perception of fellowship. Please dont play with that perception. If it erodes, your whole politics will be eroded.

Summary of the essay:

Noon's pants is on fire because Imran Khan & PTI won't let the ElectionCommissionOfPMLN to conduct the elections-18 in the same manner as elec-13. Now, how Saad Rafique will get 30 thousands more votes than Nawaz Sharif ?

Why must you present lies as facts? PTI is an active part of the reforms committee, and has presented vital and valuable input. It is PMLN which has dragged its feet on simple issues like redistricting, electronic voting, overseas voter rights etc. It is obvious PMLN and PPP have no intention of allowing overseas voters....they have no plans for electronic voting. NADRA has already thrown up its hands on biometric verification....and when this unwillingness results in protests, of course, PTI will be blamed..not the rotten system. Get your priorities straight buddy. Disagree with PTI all you want....but PTI is the only party that has fought for fairness in elections. Rest are all rotten scoundrels who are interested in maintaining cracks in the system.

I have never said PTI has not fought. But it just fought and that is all.
Other than biomatric verification and the overseas votes what else you can mention as reforms presented bu PTI. I was asking about the reforms to stop Dhandhli. Biometrics yes --- but overseas voting will just increase your votes --- no contribution will it do to stop Dhandhli. I agree with you if Govt drags feet on Overseas voting, it will be gross dishonesty, but I have reservations over the biometry. Do you think Pakistan has enough technological advances that the biometrics machines in desert on cholistan, thur, far flug areas of bahawalnagar will stay connected with the NADRA server. Do our communication system has that kind of capacity. Just think is it technically possible for whole country to be connected and stay to one server at same time.

And by the way if you see the electoral reforms committee repory (it may still be on NA website). You will see PTI team did not push for biometric system realising the technical difficulties. Instead the have introduced clauses of "challenged votes" which allows your poling agent to challenge any voter he/she wants. The challenged voters ballot will be placed in seperate bags and will be dealt with seperatly. They will be counted on the poling station but will be varified before official accouncement of results.
I think this is a fair alternative to inabilities with biometric system.

The decision is not going to be made by PTI. It is going to be made by the committee, and then passed by the parliament. Committee has PMLN majority, and so does the parliament. So the ball is in their court. Electronic voting is widely used as a means of eliminating corruption and rigging. India, with 80 crore plus voters can have seamless elections, and there is no reason why Pakistan cant have them either.

Biometric verification is not an issue. Cost is not a factor, and server connectivity is not an obstacle. If these are the excuses being used by ECP and NADRA, then they might has well dissolve their organizations. Pakistan has a fiber network now...I thought this was one of the things that Sharif plastered his face on. How can it be that connectivity would be used as an excuse?

And as someone who knows how networks run, whole country is not going to connect to 'one server'. It doesnt work like that. There are multiple redundancies in place for everything, including hardware, software, database, and network connectivity. So no, that is not a hindrance.

The only hindrance is political dishonesty of the status quo elitists, who are worried about their power transfer to their kids.

May be i over stated when i said one server, but there will be no more than 5 or 6 servers. I am not fully aware of NADRA setup. Let me give you one example i remember from my child hood. In islamabad 2nd TV Channel once started with name of STN (I think). This channel once asked audiences to call at one specific time and answer on question. It was advertized for few days. The calls came in at that time and the exchange got so overloaded that it literally cought fire. Though with 3G abd 4G systems we may not have that issue bur still communication towers have limited channels anf optical fiber system is no all over the country.

Why do we even look for live connectivity? can we have some local systems in place? data can be stored on them enciphered by a code? Now as we move the ballot boxes, we can rather move these devices to a central location of a district/province etc, where the data of the device can be decoded and read. Just like the blackbox of a plane, which can only be decoded by the OEM.

Whether my given idea works or not, I agree to the extent that we even don't see any intention of ECP to move an inch. They will come up with an example of Russia manipulating the US elections.

But this time, results will be much worse. Even now, the result of these elections is that Mr. Nawaz was unable to grace the occasion of PSL final at Lahore.... their main playing field. If you want to know whether the elections were rigged or not, one may not find a better scene than this to explain the situation (Warning: Content is too thick for Patwari heads to digest)

You are right your idea will never work. Not because it is technically not possible. Soon as some one whispers in IKs ear that the machine can be pre-programmed with the results in NS favor. ---- Fir Rola suru

.
Connection to the live database is needed in order to catch duplicate voters right there and then. If localized DBs are used, in theory it could work, but afterwards, all the DBs would have to be reconciled and duplicate voters weeded out. And this way you wont be able to catch the culprits in the act.

Bottom line is, it is not a top heavy job. It is easily doable. There was plenty of time between 2013 and 2018 to hire and train staff to run the systems. ECP and NADRA are simply not interested. Just look at the judges remarks in the Panama case about NAB's chairman, and that will tell you whats going on in ECP and NADRA

Is there any better example than this recording!!!
If Election commission allow these criminals to take part in the elections than it is no good as an instrument of fair elections.

Follower of the corrupts say that this is not an admissible evidence in the court. Strangely the same evidence was used and was enough to take actions against two judges including unjust Qayyum. How the same evidence is admissible against them but not against the corrupt brothers!!!

Any country who allow these two criminals to take part in elections and then hold the public office is a "Banana Republic". The Election commissioners should be tried in the court for letting these kind of criminals taking part in the elections.

Then there is a small matter of "Bank Loans". Shahbaz admitted he paid billions recently. He actually got a letter from the chief of one of the banks. Who pays back the banks without owing to them!!!
Sharifs had been given favors after favors by the crooks in the "Banana Republic" time to end these favors and send these two criminal brothers to the jail, their rightful place.
