ARY Network won't be left alone: National Leaders
Karachi: With respect to the registration of FIR against the CEO ARY Communications Salman Iqbal, Director News Owais Tauheed and the Bureau Chiefs of Islamabad and Quetta Sabir Shakir and Shahid Rind respectively by the Balochistan Government, key political leadership of the country has condemned the act and termed it a move to control the media. They expressed their determination that ARY Network will not be left alone in the time of injustice carried out against it for bringing the truth before the nation, ARY News reported.
According to details, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik questioned the registration of a case without any investigation or confirmations of the facts.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain triggered the strong condemnation on the act of Balochistan government of lodging the FIR against ARY News network. He termed the Balochistan government’s decision as a curb on freedom of the press.
Sheikh ul Islam Doctor Tahir ul Qadri termed the move of Balochistan Government an attack on journalism.
Jamiat Ullama Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Molana Fazlur Rahman called the registering of an FIR against ARY News an undemocratic act. He said that the journalistic role and the services of the ARY Network cannot be neglected.
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) head Chaudhry Shujaat condemned the lawsuit against ARY News and mentioned it as a heinous attack on the journalism.
Provincial Information Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon said that all the political parties and the people of Pakistan are standing by ARY News in a time of injustice being done with an honorable organization which has rendered great services for the state.
