I always thought that jamat e islami was a party of sincere and upright people who would stand against injustice and reform society but i failed to understand why people curse them and dont support them.
In last 3 weeks or so, the situation created due to PTI and PAT dharnas have helped me understand the reality of Jamat e Islami. My perception of Jamat e Islami has totaly changed. Now i believe that jamat e Islami is a party of status quo who is hungry for few seats and they are hypocrites.
Daily i read in news that siraj ul haq said in jalsa things like, status quo has hijacked pakistan since 66 years, Mulk pe jagir daron aur waderon ka kabza hai, Assemblion mai chor bethay hain, Hukmrano ko ghareeb awam ki koi fiker ni and so on and so forth. But are not willing to stand against the same forces of status quo.
Today It is crystal clear to even a blind person that pti is standing for the rule of law and a just and fair society. While status quo is united to protect their corruption, rigging and interests.
People become bigger by taking a stand against the wrong doings, no matter how tough the circumstances be. and this I guess is the reason for success of Imran khan. If jamat e islami is unwilling to support the right cause wholeheartedly then they are absolutely hypocrites and i think there is no difference between jamat e islami and other opportunist religious parties like JUIF.
Jamat e Islami has lost most of its support due to its hypocritical politics over the last couple of decades. And i feel that jamat e islami just doesn't have the guts to say the right thing or to support the right cause.
