Politicians have the backing of the awaam and they can really do a dialogue.
It is important, that this democracy must go on .... That's the only long term solution of Pakistan.
Madison (Author of US Constitution) wrote a letter to Jefferson in 1783, that a Federal Republic (Democracy) will only be successful if Public is Engaged, Intelligent and Informed.
Since our public in Pakistan is un-educated and ill-informed, it will take a century for us to develop and truly see the fruits of democracy.
And don't worry about corruption, fraud, misuse of authority. They will be accountable for it either today, tomorrow, next decade or even next century. But, its a law of nature, they will face the judgement.

What is good for America, may not be the answer for us.... penicillin is a useful drug but cannot be given to everyone because some people are reactive to it...... you call it a matter of century that our people will be educated and informed on a level to reap the fruits of democracy, but on the other hand, do we have a century to wait for it? no, these corrupt politicians will sale out whole of Pakistan in a span of years if not months, provided they are not controlled and checked by Pak Army
