KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain late on Thursday said that the remarks made by a judge of the Supreme Court regarding delimitation of constituencies in Karachi were “absolutely unconstitutional, autocratic and biased,” DawnNews reported.

Speaking to lawmakers belonging to the party, members of legal fraternity and other notables of society over telephone from London, he said giving mandate to any political party was a public prerogative and not of courts.
Altaf Hussain said that any delimitation without new census will be unconstitutional.

“A bench of the apex court doesn’t have the right to suggest that constituencies should be delimited to avoid political polarisation,” said Hussain.

“This is an open affront of the public mandate given to the MQM and a conspiracy to steal this mandate,” he added.

The MQM chief demanded that the federation, the government, President Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and other ‘unbiased’ judges of the SC take immediate notice of the issue, adding that legal action should be taken against the judge who issued such remarks.

Earlier on Monday, during a hearing of a case related to law and order in Karachi, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, while referring to a recent SC judgment, had asked the ECP to initiate the process of delimitation of constituencies in the city for the purpose of avoiding political polarisation and breaking the cycle of ethnic strife.

the CJ should learn constipation (er.... I mean constitution) from His Excellency hazrat Altaf Hussain, al-Maroof, peer London Waley LMAO

"A bench of the apex court doesn’t have the right to suggest that constituencies should be delimited to avoid political polarisation,” said Altaf Hussain.

The line above is a statement by the Kaid Altaf Hussain, He has admitted that there is political polarization and it needs to be done something about BUT gets angry at the Apex Court to say something about it.
He has no right to give political statements about Pakistan or how we are to run our system because he chose to leave the system for the sake of his own personal pleasures.
So I say, keep your brainless ideas to yourself Altaf Hussain. Khoon ki holy bohat khilay hai ab Insha Allah jawab ka wakt a gaya hai.

And his second statement:

This is an open affront of the public mandate given to the MQM and a conspiracy to steal this mandate,” he added.

This is a lie.mqm does not have the right to make the life of every one else hell or twist arms to gain benefits for it's own members and leaders who do not even have the right to talk about Pakistan on a political forum because Altaf Hussain is not a citizen of Pakistan any more

In one of the programmes today they were arguing it was just 30,000 or so voters, when others say the figure is 3 million, but they admitted that there is one address with over 600 voters, and there are 15000 voters registered with just the address, PECHS 2, Karachi........

The said house is located in the NA 251 constituency, which is considered stronghold of the province’s second largest political party MQM.

In the previous elections, Waseem Akhtar and Raza Haroon of the same party were elected member National Assembly and member provincial assembly respectively.

Thats ONE Constituency.......

Bogus Lists, Bogus Votes, Bogus Representatives

No please dont, thats where the problem will arise as it has been since the last elections, 'taking into confidence', and 'mufahimat ki policy' are dangerous signs that despite the SC orders, the stakeholders may be able to convince the ECP officials to ignore the SC orders, or accept large amount in bribes from the stakeholders.

I have a feeling that the stakeholders, primarily MQM, will somehow manager to offer millions of Rupees to avert any adverse steps against the MQM. Or at least they will try anyway, ECP officials may not want to take it. One thing for sure MQM will softly threaten the lives of the ECP folks. This is tough time for the officials.

By the way UKPakistani, if an order from the SC exists, why do we need to take the stakeholders into confidence? we have an order and we have to follow thru on it, no ifham o tafheem needed.Hell with the stakeholders. They are all ghaddar, corrupt, and chor anyway. Some are looting country's finances and others are looting KHI thru bhatta, same difference, they are both looting.

Well of course you are right, an order is an order, and has to be followed, BUT the dynamics of Karachi are such, that people will be putting their lives on line if they rub these murderers up the wrong way. In a city where the rules of the game are guns and bombs there is only one way to go and that is ifham and tafhaam, with all stakeholders.

Actually ifham-o-tafheem is an indication of weakness of the govt and obviously PPP govt is the weakest since the corrupt BB's govt. My opinion is:

These are criminals and terrorist and they must be dealt with according to the law. No negotiations or mufahmat with terrorists. Either law enforcement agencies takes care of it OR we call the army and let them clean up. We must allow the army to 'shoot first, ask later' and regardless of the criminals affiliation with any party. Bomb their addah and hideouts if the need be. No talks with criminals - either you hand over the gun or face a massive operation.
