Turkey is doing well going after PKK terrorist. Turkey is doing same thing like Pakistan army is doing against Taliban and MQM terrorist. PKK is listed a terroist organisation internationally by several states and organizations including Pakistan.

Salahdueen was muslim hero,,Islam dont distinguish between Muslims on race or origin, this idea of nationalism is modern concept and unfortunately it is a reason for the weakening of the Muslim nation.
Salahdueen was never like kurd people now a days you see who are mostly non-religious. They are more proud of their race than Islam. Saladin will be really upset with Kurdish people.

If you read the history books, Saladin was very much like Kurdish people today and the Arabs disliked him for that, the only reason why they tolerated him was that he was a successful leader. Even if you watch the movie Kingdom of Heaven you will see Arabs giving him **** all the time and he has to argue with them and tell them 'How many of your muslims leaders were winning you battles before me?'
People like to claim credit towards their beliefs for alot of people who not necessarily shared their beliefs. For example early Islamic Scientists from Basra and Baghdad like Al-Khwarizmi, I think he was Muslim and many people claim credit that look a Muslim scientist made great contributions to Science. In reality he did not believe in Quran being word of God and most scientists in his age did not aswel, would you still claim they were Muslim heros. People over rate their personal beliefs. Not every Muslim hero shares your specific beliefs or values so do not twist historic facts to make it look like they do.
Kurdish people follow Sunni Islam which maybe different from your interpretation of Islam but that does not mean they are non-religious. They are culturally more liberal than the rest of the middle east and it has nothing to do with religion. It can also be argued as why they are smarter and more successful than the rest of Arabs in Iraq and Syria.

Salahuddin has nothing to do with Talibani Islam. We all hate this kind of Islam which labels others as MUNAFIQEENN aur MURTADEEN . Hazrat Salahuddin ayyubi followed shaykh Abdul Qadir jeelani. When he was a kid, he took bayth on the the hands of shaykh Abdul Qadir Jeelani, after which his life changed.......about 50 percent from his armies were followers of shaykh abdul qadir and were qadri's. The very great proof is his sword , which is inscribed with kalimah and on another side it is written as YA SHEIKH ABDUL QADIR IN arabic........His sword is preserved in topkapi museum in Turkey.
