New Delhi: New Delhi: The uncertainty surrounding the participation of Pakistan team Faisalabad Wolves in the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 to be held in India ended on Wednesday with sources telling CNN-IBN that the team has been denied visas by the Indian government. Faisalabad were to play the four-team qualifying phase of the CLT20 starting September 17, but government sources say that it is "not possible to provide necessary security arrangements, so visas are unlikely". Sources told BCCI is to go ahead with three teams for qualifiers in the current scenario.

Northampton Town sign Pakistan defender Kashif Siddiqi

Northampton Town have handed a professional contract to Pakistan international Kashif Siddiqi.
The 27-year-old London-born defender had a trial with the Cobblers last season and has recently recovered from a hip injury.
He was in the Arsenal academy, before playing college football in the USA, and has four international caps.

Meanwhile, striker Jacob Blyth has extended his loan from Leicester City until 2 November.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals in four starts for the Cobblers so far.
Manager Aidy Boothroyd told BBC Radio Northampton: "He's proved his worth. He could've had five or six goals.
"He's honest, he wants to run around and he's brave. We've got to start providing him, Clive Platt and Roy O'Donovan with the ammunition to score some goals."
Siddiqi, who is yet to make a Football League appearance, has become renowned for his community work, notably for trying to increase participation in football among young Asians.
He is currently shortlisted for the Inspiration Award at the Asian Football Awards, to be held in October.
"We've given him a chance to train with the first team and he is very keen and he's very enthusiastic so we will monitor his progress and see how he goes," said Boothroyd.

Everyone is playing except Pakistan. So sad:(. I guess Pakistan i players are not safe in India any more and this is probably the right thing to do considering the relationship between both the countries.

If India cannot provide safety to players then there should not be any International cricket in India same as in Pakistan. Its very unfortunate but ICC should treat all countries with equality.

I have no problem with this decision. Pakistanis should stop crying and complaining as it's their tournament and rules. With the situation at the LOC there will be such side effects.
