Confirmed : Indian origin commercial drone : Phantom dji Go Pro revealed footage !

It bothers me to unlimited intelligence why would a Indian Army use a commercial drone with no encryption software & recording a live data feed into Dji phantom go pro recorder? This drone looks a fix up between Indian Army & Pakistani army as a sign of peaceful protest etc!

I find it very hard in days of predator drones to 49 version of stealth drones readily available why would Indian army use Dji $1000 cheap alternative & without encrypted data links?!?

Something is fishy in this whole debacle. Yes it is confirmed drone was from Indian origin.
Yes it was a dji phantom which any child can buy. But fact of footage revealed it flew from Indian army post, alright agreed. But why was the Indian army using a cheaper alternative?

I am sure they have predators drones variations where it is next to impoy to infiltrate data links etc. See where this is going?

Well, a very good reason of using a commercially available, third party drone is to be able to say it does not belong to India in case it is shot down. And that's what exactly they did, they said there is no proof that this commercial drone was operated by India as anyone can access this technology. They did not realize that Pakistanis will be able to recover the footage from it even after it has been shot down!

These drones are dirt cheap and cost very little where as a drone for military purposes are expensive to maintain and keep running they are planes without pilots. These cheap drones are a good option however I highly doubt the hindians thought they would be undetected for some reason and just used them to capture Pakistani positions. Bad choice I am afraid!

Well its simple in reply to China ever growing threat over Endia + Pakistan combined, maybe a new cooperation between unified India / Pakistan could prevent Chinese Aggression.

In My view India were being smart but their only blunder was to start taking pictures of their own Area.

Except from that it was pretty wise to use a third party drone and to call it conspiracy against India even when the drone is caught, but their blunder had what caused the embarrassment for them..

If they hadn't used a third party drone and it was shot down then obviously it would have been called as aggression against Pakistan in those days and may have created problems for India when the Iron was hot. but now after few days, it is confirmed that the drone was from India but the Iron is cold now..
