CNIC expired, Vote cast ho sakta hai ya nahi?

My CNIC has expired, am i able to cast vote or have to renew it?

In case of renew when'll be delivered, before election?

I think yes you can. You should visit NADRA for renewal, and they will give you a token Receipt. You can use the token Receipt to cast your Vote..

Expired CNIC is ok for casting of vote, you cannot cast vote on token, original CNIC is required.

You can get it before elections, I think. Please check the time frame of an executive it urgent application.

dont apply for the new one now.. as they will confiscate your current one and issue you a token. On token you wont be able to cast vote...

Explanation.—The National Identity Card issued by the National Database and Registration Authority shall be deemed to be valid for the purpose of registration as a voter or for casting vote in an election, notwithstanding the expiry of its validity period

سمارٹ کارڈ اگر آپ 2500 فیس کے ساتھ اپلائ کرتے ہیں تو آپ کا سمارٹ کارڈ آپ کو 8 سے 10 دن میں مل جائیگا۔اور اگر نارمل فیس کے ساتھ اپلائ کرتے ہے تو نارمل فیس کے ساتھ کارڈ آپ کو 40 دنوں یا اس سے بھی لیٹ ملے گا۔پرسنل ایکپیرنس سمارٹ کارڈ کے ساتھ۔8 دنوں میں۔نارمل کی فیس کا کنفرم نہیں ہے 500 یا 700۔

mine was expired in 2013 :D i did not bother to renew it.

You should get it renewed ASAP, you never know when you need it in any emergency situation and you won't have time to get it renewed

i did went to frankfurt to renew but they said i have to apply online.I then applied online and even paid fees but my application was rejected.i submitted all required documents.if there is any NADRA employee on siasat.pk who can help me with my application ? (without asking for bribe)

Exactly! I am afraid about it that if I have to submit my old card and new even smart urgent card not delivered before the poll then there will be no chance to cast vote. There are cases of smart card waiting for more than one month.
If it's confirmed that expired card not acceptable to cast vote then I'll definitely go to renew it else after polls.

you will be able to poll on your old/expired cnic.. one of my friends did that in past by-elections.. but u need to have the cnic with you
