Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday refused to meet the UN delegation investigating the issue of enforced disappearances, saying that the matter is sub-judice, Express News reported.

The team arrived in Pakistan Monday on a 10-day mission to investigate the missing persons issue.

The teams arrival sparked a debate during a National Assembly on Monday and the parliamentarians dubbed the fact-finding exercise a threat to the countrys sovereignty.

During their 10-day mission, the team will tour all provincial headquarters, meeting political leaders, government officials, civil society organisations and human rights activists to gather information on cases of enforced disappearances in the country.

The experts will analyse and review measures adopted by Pakistan to eradicate the practice, including issues related to truth, justice and reparation for victims.

Good that the CJ refused, for a change the UN should focus on the drone attacks, the UN which is a US puppet doesnt have the gutts to bring up the drone issue.

I am surprised the UN head quarter is in New York and they have not sent any delegation to Guantanamo plus dozens of secret prisons in dozens of countries operated by CIA, BLACKWATER & alike plus their other terrorist activities around the globe by their mercenaries.

Hats off to CJ for he has at least recovered the BIGGEST BODY OF MISSING PERSONS, i.e. UN.

They really were missing for long whether its the recent issue of Burma or Syria, but at least they have been RECOVERED, in context of missing persons in pk :P

CJ's reasoning is clear, it is sub judice, he would be committing contempt of his own court by speaking to anyone outside

and the likes of Abidi would have a field day

You are correct bro but there is no Zar & co in Kashmir.
Unluckily our rulers Zar and Co invited UN to interfere in our country and courts.
I hope any patriot Pakistani will not vote these robbers again.
