I think that is an extremely simplified scenario you are pointing, the reality is complicated and slightly different.

BB betrayed the Khalistan movement and given the names all freedom fighters to Indian Government who captured and killed all of in in brutal way. After this Kashmir Movement also died out at the end last century. Revival by Musharaf was not successful because of initiation of war on terror by USA. Pakistan should re-instate policy of Zia Ul Haq to support Khalistan. It will help Pakistan for cause of Kashmir. But most politicians betrayed Pakistan. Pakistan urgently needs leader like Zia Ul Haq.

Better to have Khalistan then to have India as neighbours and one more thing our punjab is twice as large as India Punjab in term of population and greater Punjab is perfectly fine as long as it is part of Pakistan.
