Cant beleive. Indians cant hold dual nationality ??why cant pakistanis ??

I am regular visitor of these forums and newspapers . but it is very strange that i came to know this information just recently.and that is ........

Indians cant hold dual nationality .

No one even discussed and mentioned this although there are many dual nationals on this forum......hmmmm....kuch samaj tou aa rahi hai .

Dr. Qadri mentioned in his interview and later on i read about this in column that there are many Indians living in England for years but they don't have dual nationality . Is it true ?? if it is then its amazing ....more than amazing

Is it the same reason that we see so many desi pakistanis in many crickets teams but no INDIAN ? although Indians are available in bulk in every part of world.

why cant we have similar law ??

u r soo outdated.. yes indian can only have one passport.... but UK, US and many other can hv dual national....

many indians i knw here have chosen not to give up their indian passport... if there was one passport rule fr paksitan.. i bet ppl wund tthink for a second to frfeit their nationality and hv uk passports..[hilar][hilar][hilar]..

because indian dsnt sell their nationalisam and motherland .. where as even american knows pakistani can sell their mother for 20 dollars .. mein nahe kehta american court ke kisi case mein remarks hain mubarik ho.
in uk u will see lot of indian lives on indefinate leave to remain they dont apply for nationalities because they dont want to lose their indian nationalities ..

You are right. Take a example of Nasir Hussain. ( Former England Captain). He was born but now UK Passport holder and doesn't have any India connection ( except visiting India on visitor visa) He is fully loyal to his country. and this is how it should be.

Yes that is true.......either you are an Indian citizen or you are not.......someone mentioned OPI above (actually its OCI) and it is technically just a permanent visa on your non Indian pp........

Still it is unlike any other. It the only country created in the name of Islam or Muslims. My father told me that in first few years of its birth any Muslim from any part of the world were allowed to come to Pakistan and settle as Pakistani. This continued till 1950. During that time many people from African subcontinent and Arab peninsula received Pakistani nationality. You can still go and meet their kids. Many are settle in industrial town of Faisalabad and some in Karachi.

if you cant live in ur own country and gain other countries nationality and living there you should be loyal to that country sab ka dost .. if america calls u to fight against pakistan u should . or otherwise live on workpermit for few years earn money experience and degree and comeback .if you decide to live their as national then u should behave like american national and to protect their intrest .. and this can only happen if you by heart do that ..same is with pakistan if you live in paksitan and pakistani national then protect the intrest of paksitan ..

Actually Liaqat Ali Khan who is a non-controversial person and respected throughout the nation was of the opinion that there should be no dual national in decision making positions. He once said that anyone who thinks that a person can have two loyalties is not only deceiving himself but the nation too. He was murdered before implementing it (google for his interview).
