I am a PTI supporter but don't mind having a PSL final in Lahore. Actually, I would love to have it in Pakistan.
However, I really don't trust the incompetent politicians of Pakistan. Especially, the PPP and PMLN ones.
I remember the day the Sri Lankan team was attacked. Salman Taseer had imposed Emergency in the province of Punjab, as the governor. Subsequent to the attack he made big statements in front of the camera, answering questions from the journalists. He made claims that he will find the terrorists and will "kill" them. this never happened.
Few hours later, he was holding a press conference with Qasim Zia. Instead of covering this huge international issue which affected Pakistan, in the presser Salman Taseer discussed only the power tussle between him and the PMLN.
The priorities of our politicians are polluted. The only thing they care about is themselves. I don't thing these guys have the competence to run the country or provide a bullet proof security to foreign athletes.
The Sri Lankan team was promised President level security but when the attack took place there were only three police vehicles protecting them.
I will still support the final in Lahore as a Pakistani but I just don't trust the corrupt and incompetent politicians of PMLN and PPP. Hope everything goes on well.
What do you guys think? Don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but any bad event with the PSL final will divert the attention from the Panama case and might defer the SC judges' "appropriate time" for the decision, indefinitely.....
