Can MQM exist without arms?

I dont remember anything before the 90's but since i can remember MQM has always had a military wing. Carrying a TT was a pre-req of hanging around the Unit. The people who had arms earlier were ussually 30+ back in 90's but now i see even 18-22 yo carrying AK47 openly.

I was wondering, with this kind of culture installed in MQM's core worker, can this party exisit without arms?

The biggest hurdle will be its own confidence. People like Altaf Hussain would rather go down fighting instead of doing something peaceful as I am sure he does not believe in it.

But the second tier of MQM atleast looks a bit mature but given that " Humay Qaid chahiye Manzil Nahi" and " Jo Qauid ka ghadar hai, woh maut ka haqdar hai" kind of statues, MQM will have to wait for Altaf to retire permenantly before it becomes a political party instead of a gang.

I guess these logos are forced onto MQM by Altaf. Even if someone wants to leave MQM he cannot because everybody knows that once you join it, there no door out and if it is then its only death.

Altaf Hussain does not comes back because he knows that people from with in MQM will kill him as he is responsible for killing of many MQM workers and their family members. In the past who ever with in MQM used to raise a voice against Altaf's policies or any of his decision ended up being dead. MQM workers and their other leaders are themselves tired of Altaf Hussain but the sole reason that they bare him is that they know if they go against Altaf they will be killed as Altaf has his own intelligence people working with in MQM and spying over the rabta committee members and other MQM workers.

The only hurdle to MQM's growth was and is Altaf himself. He is a racist thug and he is the one who killed the founders of MQM (who were nazariyaati people) and took over it and turned it into a gang. Before him becoming the leader, Karachi youth used to study and they were sincere in building up Pakistan and since he took over MQM he gave weapons in the hands of Karachiites and as Imran Khan says that this trend was started with MQM and now every other political party in Karachi has their own militia.

I hope that MQM gets rid of Altaf Hussain and few of his masters who are controlling him from US. Yes, there are some former workers of MQM in US who makes all the decisions for MQM and are the think tank and Altaf follows all the policies made by them. Altaf himself is not in any sane condition and I doubt he has any mental capability to make any decision himself so he follows what ever MQM USA tells him to.

As Kamran Khan said that this is high time for MQM to decide a new leader for themself. Either it is the time now or never.

But again, If MQM did not have a military wing i would have voted for them. I like thier 2nd tier leadership, its a well knitted party. But again the Don just ruins everything minutely good about the party. The only way for them to change is that we vote them out and make them think what is wrong.

So, with the same logic, if you fnd out the root cause of Karachi's problem, then you will never see any arm in MQM.
We, in Karachi, see MQM as saviours and protectors of our children and ladies from outsider police and bus conductors etc.etc.
We don't want any out of the way favor, we just want our due share in this land. We know how to respect others, but we also want the samething from others too. If we are wrong, punish us, but if someone is also wrong punish him too. NO MAMA CHACHA CULtURE can be allowed to prevail in Karachi.
