India has played its foreign policy cards really good and they have very business oriented-cordial realtionship with all those couteries whom we call "brother mulk".... All what they have for us is Riyal Shareef, Bheek, Shikargah and investing in politicians like NS..... This is what consistent democracy brings to a country.. SLowly but surely things move to better..... Whereas our politicians are mostly hatched from estab nurseries and they are not even allwoed to think about how the word POLICY is spelled, specially when it comes to foreign, defence and financial policies....

Apart from this, agreements on defence industries, maritime transport, cybersecurity, shipping and transport were also signed.

India on Wednesday sealed 14 agreements, including a comprehensive strategic partnership, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The summit-level talks, however, fell short of clinching a major investment agreement for India, though the visiting Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the UAE would further intensify ties with India.
The Agreement on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership came four days after both sides held the first ever strategic dialogue. Soon after his arrival in Delhi on Tuesday, the Crown Prince had described the strategic agreement as a testimony to the age-old ties between the two sides.
I believe that the UAE, with its unique development experience and Islamic and Arab background, and India, with its inimitable and successful development experience and its unique model of coexistence, can work together to push for peace and stability in Asia and the Middle East. This makes me even more optimistic about the future of our relationship, Sheikh bin Zayed said in his official statement.
Apart from the strategic partnership, agreements on defence industries, maritime transport, cybersecurity, shipping and transport were also signed.
Talks still on

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the UAE to partner India in stabilising South Asia and fight security challenges. He welcomed greater investment from the country for Indias infrastructure sector. However, a major agreement on engaging the massive investment fund of the UAE for Indias infrastructure sector remained unattained. MEA officials had stated on Tuesday that they expected the agreement to be finalised during the talks. UAE also has the largest sovereign wealth fund that we are looking for investments. There is an agreement that they will invest nearly $75 billion in India over the next couple of years. During the visit we are hoping that an MoU will be signed between their investment fund and NIIF (National Infrastructure Investment Fund) that we have created on our side which is at an advanced stage of discussions, Secretary in charge of economic relations in the MEA, Amar Sinha, had announced on Tuesday.
However, an official source said talks were still on. We hope to conclude the deal at an early date, he told The Hindu. Sources said the UAE needed more time to study the documents on the structure and management of NIIF. Sheikh bin Zayed, who will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations, visited the Lodhi Garden where he planted a sapling as a symbol of friendship with India. UAE considers its relationship with India a priority and views India as a linchpin of stability and security in the Asian continent, Sheih bin Zayed said on a social media platform. The Gulf state will also showcase its growing military clout at the Republic Day parade, where a marching contingent of its armed forces will participate in a show of solidarity with India.

Its nothing to do with Indian foreign policy. This is not the first time Arabs have acted against muslims. The Arabs conspired against their fellow muslim Ottoman Turks and sided with the British. The Gulf states also have good relations with Israel though it is kept secret. They are free to make friends with whoever they choose to.Don't forget gulf states are vassal of US so they are doing this with the approval of US.China is seen as a threat to India and US.UAE is obeying its
masters in Washington to let India in and keep China out.Pakistan should act in its own best interest.May be its time for Pakistan to review its policy towards Israel.Pakistan will gain a lot of good will from the west and America if it recognises Israel.after all there is no dispute between Pakistan and Israel.

Modi is fighting hard to win friends in the gulf.
He wants total Indian work force there and wants to cut and eliminate pakistani workforce who have a major contribution in foreign remittances which is backbone of our economy.
Modi also wants to sell them military equipment and services and most importantly he wants them to stop acting as important backers pakistan.

We should know while gulf rulers have relations with our rulers but in drastic international situations, its the gulf rulers who rescue us.

NEW DELHI: India will train Qatar police for handling the security during the FIFA World Cup 2022 scheduled to be held in that country.
The training arrangement was agreed upon during a meeting between Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Saturday.
The Prime Minister of Qatar, who holds the Interior Ministry portfolio, invited Singh to Qatar to strengthen bilateral security cooperation with special emphasis on preparations for hosting FIFA World Cup 2022.
"Singh offered training of police personnel to the Qatari side which was accepted in the meeting," an official statement said.

The Qatari Prime Minister suggested sending a delegation from the Interior Ministry to India to study different aspects of security cooperation.
The Qatar side also agreed to send a team of officers for the exchange of information between the two countries and asked for a suitable date. Singh assured them that it will be conveyed at the earliest.
India thanked Qatar for their amnesty scheme of facilitating Indian workers with irregular visa status to return to India without the travel document.
Al Thani went a step ahead and assured similar amnesty to other Indians stranded there. The two leaders also discussed the facilitation of opening Indian community schools in Qatar.
Singh thanked the Prime Minister of Qatar for cooperation in the field of education for facilitating the education of Indian community in Qatar and requested for facilitation of Indian community schools in view of the large community in Qatar.
The bilateral cooperation in the field of food security was also discussed in detail by the two leaders, the statement added.
