بی بی سی کی رپورٹ میں کہا گیا ہے کہ برطانوی حکومت نے یہ اعداد و شمار مقامی اخبار ہفنگٹن پوسٹ کی درخواست پر معلومات تک رسائی کے قانون کے تحت جاری کئے ہیں۔ ان اعداد وشمار کے مطابق گزشتہ برس فروری میں صرف 15 مرتبہ فحش ویب سائٹ کو سرچ کیا گیا جبکہ نومبر میں ایک لاکھ چودہ ہزار مرتبہ یہ کوشش کی گئی۔ تاہم یہ نہیں بتایا گیا کہ ان ویب سائٹس پر جانے والوں میں کتنے ارکان پارلیمنٹ تھے کیونکہ برطانوی پارلیمان میں 5ہزار کے قریب ملازمین بھی خدمات سرانجام دیتے ہیں۔​

رپورٹ کے سامنے آنے پر برطانوی ایوان زیریں جسے دارالعوام کہا جاتا ہے کہ ترجمان نے خیال ظاہر کیا ہے کہ یہ تمام کوششیں جان بوجھ کر نہیں کی گئیں، ان میں تیسرے فریق کے سافٹ وئیر کی جانب سے کی جانے والی مبالغہ آرائی بھی ہو سکتی ہے اور کچھ ویب سائٹس تو خودبخود بھی سامنے آ جاتی ہیں۔​

واضح رہے کہ برطانوی وزیراعظم ڈیوڈ کیمرون نے 2ماہ قبل انٹرنیٹ سروس فراہم کرنے والی کمپنیوں کو گھریلو صارفین تک فحش ویب سائٹ کی رسائی بند کر دینے کی اپیل کی تھی ۔

haan yeh already implement ho chuka hai...hamarey net par yeh site band kardi gayee hain...ab agar kholna hai to aap ko internet provider ko fone karna parhey ga aur yeh show karna parhey ga keh aap kee age 18 years sey uper hai tab aap ko yeh site khol dein gey otherwise it is completely blocked....pata nahin pakistan mein internet provider aisa keon nahin kar saktey

More than 300,000 attempts were made in the past year to access adult and pornographic websites on computers in Britain’s Parliament, newly released records show.

The figures cover Internet-enabled devices linked to the Parliamentary Network, which is used by British Parliament members and their staff, and were released by the Palace of Westminster in response to a freedom of information request, News.com.au reports

Around 850 attempts to click on pornographic pages were blocked each day, and 309,316 attempts were made between May 2012 and July 2013, according to The Mirror.

One site, “Out of Town Affairs,” racked up 52,000 hits in seven months.

The British House of Commons said the totals were inflated by pop-ups and did not reflect intent to visit such sites.

“We do not consider the data to provide an accurate representation of the number of purposeful requests made by network users due to the variety of ways in which websites can be designed to act, react and interact and due to the potential operation of third-party software,” a spokeswoman said in a statement.

“We are not going to restrict parliamentarians’ ability to carry out research,” she added, according to the Mirror.

I live in Ashburn Va US for the last 5 years. According to Fox survey Ashburn was the highest number in all US for accessing porn websites. It didn't surprise me bcz mostly INDIANS live in here hahahaha[hilar]

Some Karnataka assembly staff have been caught watching porn on computers during office hours.


BANGALORE: "Government work is God's work", proclaims a sign at VidhanaSoudha'sportal. But a secret CBI dossier says it isn't work that preoccupies people in the hub of administration, but viewing porn on official computers during office hours.


The dossier, which has been forwarded to the criminal investigation department (CID), is an offshoot of the CBI monitoring internet activities in government offices. Sources in the CID confirmed having received the file, but were tightlipped on follow-up action.


"We found that the internet protocol with kar.nic.in was extensively used by government employees in the state to view pornography, particularly from Vidhana Soudha. The finding happened when our cyber experts conducted anti-terrorism surveillance. Vidhana Soudha employeeswere found visiting websites with porn," a senior officer told TOI.


State government employees seem to like watching child porn, he said. This is the trend elsewhere in the country too.


The CBI officer said all state government servers are linked to the National Informatics Centre's servers. "Almost all government departments are on our radar for the past couple of years. From time to time, we have brought the porn fetish in Vidhana Soudha to the notice of the cyber-crime cell of CID. They have not taken any corrective measures for reasons best known to them," he said.


But CID sources claimed the information provided by the CBI has been kept in abeyance as it is classified as "anonymous".


"Using official computers to view porn is an act of indiscipline and attracts punishment. As per the provisions of the I-T Act, individuals can view porn on the internet through their own devices, but not through public or official devices," said an intelligence officer.


D S Ravindran, CEO, e-governance, said: "We have policies to prevent such misuse, and expect all government employees to be responsible. I will try to introduce filters and firewalls to block all offensive websites."


Lawyer C V Sudhindra said: "Watching pornography is no offence, but its publication or transmission is forbidden. The law requires cybercafes to block all obscene sites, including porn sites, and this applies to government offices as well. Using a public device at a cybercafeor a device kept at a public office to view porn is a most heinous act. Officials are liable to face serious action, including suspension."


What the law says


Whoever publishes or transmits or causes to be published in electronic form any material which is lascivious or appeals to the prurient interest, or if its effect is such as to tend to deprave and corrupt persons who are likely... to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it, shall be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years and with fine which may extend to Rs 1 lakh. In the event of a second or subsequent conviction, with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years and also with fine which may extend to Rs 2 lakh.
