British Muslims should not contribute to Fragmentation of UK by voting in favor of Scottish independ

If Scottish independence vote results in Scottish independence then barring some reconciliatory scenario , all three young British main political parties leaders will be history within a year . PM of British knows a Scottish vote for independence means call for his resignation .


Offcourse British Muslim community knows its local interests and local partnerships much more than us the Pakistanis not any more in UK but one point about history of world is that minorities do well under strong federal structures provided they are friendly , convesely fragmented small states might favour minorities for a little while but ultimately works to detriment in most cases over long term A strong federal structure with many minorities is a good safety valve .


British Muslims should not vote in favour of scottish independence unless their gut feeling is that yes vote is likely and is not just a may be . British Muslims should think deeply and avoid fragmentation of UK , this is my advise .

There was a similar situation here in Canada when french speaking province Quebec wanted to seperate and at that time it was english speaking immigrants who saved the country as vote was very close 51/49 .
I think most immigrants are likely to vote no this time again due to economic benefit and security. However a Yes vote may trigger more such movements in Europe and possible in North America.

I was expecting such a response from Glasgow , the Muslim community is already under fire in the west , its voting too openly both against and for Scottish independence especially when balance is 51 vs 49 will be not very well appreciated .Scottish independence may result in a prosperous Scotland but more likely are economic difficulties and minorities are worst affected in such economic downturn . Besides a division based on not just geography but race as well is not good tendency for minorities , how far will it go. British born Muslims have always not given much ear to elders and here most most militancy related issues are occurring in that community not settlers .
