KARACHI: Sindh government has decided computerized verification of all the arm licences issued in Karachi, Geo News reported.

This was said by Additional Home Secretary Malik Khawaja while briefing Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Mushir Alam. He said the provincial government has prepared a policy to control illegal arms.

As per the new policy, the person holding licenced arms are bound to verify the documents in the due time, or else the licence will be cancelled. A citizen could not hold more than four arm licences at a time.

Additional secretary further said biometric system will be installed at Super Highway and National highway besides all the entrance routes of Karachi to verify the thumb impression of all the passengers, entering in the city.
