You are misinformed. About all of nazriati PPP Punjab/KPK is in PTI. The youth were first to join who were disappointed by Benazir's corrupt and opportunist policies and then leadership followed them. It will be saner to face the realty.
Just to add to OP, Al Murtaza, Larkana was fired by Sind Police while Nusrat Bhutto was inside for Qabza but she survived the attack.
When BB was alive ,no ppp worker joined pti,that time PTI was tanga party.

Yes, the shift was in 2007-11. However PPP had lost support in Punjab/KPK more than a decade earlier ONLY because of benazir and her reliance upon feudal of Punjab. PPP core vote was more about anti-nawaz/zia than for benazir.
Some disappointed by munafiq policies of rightist parties also joined but those were tiny in number. Once people were liberated from tangles of bhutto myth, PTI developed its ideology and program, which is pro-poor, nationalistic, social justice and 'islam hamaara deen hey." which is closer to original ppp. Original PPP was pro-poor, and socialistic - and not neo-liberal, secularist and in cahoot with the imperialists that Benazir had tried to make it. Look who is now-a-days ally of PPP - about all of those groups were anti-bhutto.. Even Hakim Zardari was a staunch enemy.
She is the only one who won elections her own unlike PMLN or Pti rigged elections with the help of establishment,thats a very big difference.She gave many concessions but still the army was not happy with her and got her killed.Look now whole Pakistan there is not a single man enough who could speak against corrupt generals.

You can cook up all stories about PTI win without any evidence and those about who killed her. No one can stop you believing in myths.
But in 93, Benazir won with whose support better learn about that. Any why US was instrumental to send her back to Pakistan and coerced zia for what purpose - go through those times.
PPP may not be pro-establishment but Benazir was all-in-all from the powers, international and domestic. She had been destructive for the party and the nation as well. Come out of her myth and then you may liberate Sind from the hands of feudal lords and their anti-people policies.

Don't know about pro or anti establishment; those are the terms some people have developed, and each has his/her own version/agenda. I was referring only to elections in 93' and who was in dialog with president and generals ; And I have zero doubts about that episode.
And it is your assumption that ZAB was anti-military but the facts are different -- during and before PPP came to power zab/ppp had powerful friends,(ZAB was a hawk). or even after zia, he didn't had supporting generals in the military! I don't find any wrong or hypocrisy. Bhutto swept in all martial districts of Pakistan and was very popular among soldiers. The narratives and theories about "establishment" were developed in 80's and had very different motives than to see the factual history.
