we knew already 1400 years ago that universe is expanding. U can notice that during hajj, people perform tawaf in anti clockwise direction around kabba, which is central point. As quran says that this universe was from nothing, ( my opinion is that this universe emerged out of black hole) and moving around it in anti clockwise direction. If u notice kabba is also wrapped in black.
