Bad reporting. Malik Riaz has offered to pay in installment spanning 12 years out of future sale proceeds.
Court should reject such an offer and demand substantial immediate payment and share from profits otherwise better confiscate the land or commercial plots.
It is test case for supreme court -- let the crime not to turn into windfall profits in immediate future.

If he doesn't pay right now then it is nothing just fraud.
Its like give me free land, i will do development, sale it make profit and then I will pay back half price of land even without paying any interest.
Remember Current estimated price of this land is above 1 trillion, as told by court.

Bhai jan 10 lakh ghar ki zaroorat hy mulk maay every year especially in Karachi mini Pakistan....agar riyasat logoo ko ghar banakar nahi daay Sakti tu private builders ki tangaay naa khichaay..... people living in three four stories on a single 120sqft houses and in result drainage system to water system is collapsed in Karachi every street because pipes can not sufficient to run and that's happening because lack of houses... ...Malik Riyaz type builders can't get the land through proper channel because of bureaucracy system who is corrupted and dead..if the private builders have to acquire the land by means of legal riyasat don't give and asked hash money to give land ...

in the end, one certain individual will have a 120 yds to accomodate 5 children with their future planing and god forbid their angry wives that your younger brother lives in a 2.5 room top floor whereas we live in a 2 room ground floor and have to open to open the main gate for visitors.
at the same time that builder, who never bought that land, never owed that land, be living with no kids in a sea side villa with a private runway strip.

Plus, all the proceeds SHOULD and MUST go to the Dam fund ASAP.

Though I disagree with your numbers and projections in the above reply but thanks anyway for your kind words. Be happy.
You have highlighted the need for 1 karore housing units especially for the poor classes, , perhaps MR type of housing schemes and practices are rather unhelpful towards that goal from various aspects.
Karachi has two large slums - any loot of resources of Karachi city affects the chances for these poor to escape poverty.
As far as 'making examples' is concerned, there are ever more and seemingly plausible arguments for a segment for a crime and an immoral act, hence the crimes prevail among that segment. However, in the end that's a moral call as I said otherwise you have no standing on the basis of facts and data. Thanks.
