Babar Awan wants short cut to PM ship for linking Sajid Mir's statement to creating anarchy

Babar Awan wearing a black dress resembling a shirwani for PM seemed to be cursing Sajid Mir , the old timer Islamicist and some time companion of Sharifs .

Babar Awan's criticism was completely unjustified as Army chief of Pakistan is not just a chief , he is practically head of state and nation needs to be very very clear about that person and his propensities and background irrespective of whoso ever appointed. Besides the non resignation of promotion rivals and lack of any direct statement from the persons affected by propaganda gave the whole issue of thing as a non closed transaction.

Babar Awan's taking on Sajid Mir is unfortunate as at one time Babar Awan was himself giving religious talks in abundance on TV .

Sajid Mir is rather quiet person and his apprehensions were shared by many many leaders of Islamic bent be they in PMLN or Jamaat and infact PMLN might head to internal crisis because of some of the things done by nawaz are not clear. PMLN may split in Punjab on the issues

Nawaz rise on political stage was not just ISI type job , the rank and file of islamicists and many leaders of parties like Sajid Mirs and jamaat and others took part . They cannot be happy with Nawaz or Babar Awan as being on wrong side of the issue.

The sunnis of Pakistan being 85% of population have all the right to know background of their chief justices , prime ministers , speakers and especially military chiefs and unlike Babar Awan's logic , this right cannot be thrown back into web of rules and regulations.

Already Pakistan is being challenged on afghanistan side by India supported TTP who though defeated will become elated if they can prove that Pakistan is led by lesser muslims or non muslims . Public should be clear about it .

Some internet blogs about kashmir in 1971 war existent for long time on internet have complicated suspicions and non statement by concerned parties makes issue troublesome.

Already the argument that supreme courts or high courts are scandalized if some one proves corruption against a justice , is very wrong logic and stops public scrutiny , now the same is being said by Babar Awan about another issue if even more improtance .

Babar Awan deserves to be reprimanded for making new issues by criticising Sajid Mir.

I dont know when Babar Awan criticized Sajid Mir but if he did he should be applauded. Sajid Mir is a senator from the PMLN and if he had some questions about the chiefs belief system he should have taken them up privately with his party leadership and asked for a private clarification instead of creating a drama in the media in an already fractured society. It is highly unlikely that Sajid Mir did this by himself without approval from the PMLN leadership. This was a ploy to keep the future chief under pressure incase he tried to be another Raheel Sharif. The army should file a defamation case against Sajid Mir and have him picked up for interrogation and apply liberal doses of the third degree and I am sure he will spill the beans.

the only instituion in the country that properly vets its servicemen is the Army. Right from the induction to every promotion and along the way MI keeps tabs on its soldiers and it is downright stupid to believe that they would let something like this slip up for a general who has been in service for decades. There is no "taint" on his family and like I said if Sajid Mir had any reservations from rumors he should have been mature enough to take them up privately with his party leadership. Making a scene out of it means only one thing, that there were ulterior motives and Sajid Mir should be beaten up like Umar Cheema and Rana Sanaullah were.
