Attorney General Irfan Qadir, on Wednesday, wrote a letter to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari asking him to conduct an investigation into the Arsalan Iftikhar case, Express Newsreported.

Qadir, in his letter, requested the chairman, who previously said the case did not fall under the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO), 1999, to form a team for conducting an unbiased investigation.
Earlier, in the short order penned down during the hearing of the Arsalan Iftikhar case, the Supreme Court directed Attorney General Irfan Qadir to proceed according to the law and take required actionagainst business tycoon Malik Riaz, his son-in-law Salman and the chief justices son Arsalan Iftikhar.

How could the chairman of NAB be an objective investigator when way back in the mid 1990s, when he was the chief of the naval staff, he was calling Kh. Asif to lay off of MR and Bahria Town? Kh. Asif labelled this charge in one of the TV shows and I have not seen a the NAB chairman refuting this claim.

If this was another country after that charge there would have been a firestorm and the NAB chairman would have had to explain himself - but in our land of corruption

The quality work by NAB turtles will expose more culprits behind the conspiracy against SC and when report will come under SC scanner, a few judicial strokes will help widen cracks in poorly plastered Malik Riaz saga. The famous proverb "zaat the kurkirli te shahteeran nun japphay" has fully engulfed Malik Riaz, Mehr Bukhari and Mubashir Luqmaan. Lets wait how many more are there to unmask.
