Our response would be that the Qur'an disallows marriages with animals, grave worshipping and what not by quoting verses from our Holy book. It's for Hindu's to tell us what their scripture says about such ignorance thereby distancing their faith from it.

Such things in Bharat are very common with people marrying dog's and tree's to guard from curses from evil spirits!:lol: People living in rural India are the most brainwashed and ignorant fool's living on the planet, with a bit of persuastion i could make them worship me as their latest, brand new God!!(clap)

Stupid rituals do exist in many countries including JAPAN, US, EU. I don't see any harm in theses minor harmless and senseless rituals as long as these rituals don't harm anyone.

They harm their own intelligence and future generations who will be taught such rubbish! If a person was about to commit suicide or fail an exam on purpis it would be another's moral duty to talk them out of it.
