Americans barking on Pakistan to act against Haqqani group is getting louder with passing time. The daring actions in last few months have shown the capabilities of NATO even inside the capital Kabul. I have written many times, if they cannot control Kabul and provide security to their own offices and staff, how can they claim they have broken the backs of their enemies in Afghanistan?
The utter failure of the US in Afghanistan have proven that WARS cannot be win on the basis of WEAPONS and on huge technological edge. You still need courage and fighting capabilities. In both cases NATO in general and Americans in particular are becoming really stuck and short.
The Americans do a song and dance on their training methods and superiority of their training on other nations, but the reality is this training is not producing better soldiers. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Americans would have been complete failures if they didn't have complete control of the skies.
Imagine the scenario if Taliban were able to call in the air support against their enemies like the Americans can against the Taliban? What would have been the story?
How long the best trained army could have survived in that case?
so who is better trained, the Americans or Taliban?
Taliban have taken hits from Americans ability to call in air cover for their help through out. But Taliban still fighting and winning the war. Imagine if the roles are reversed, food for a thought isn't it?
