Assalamu Alaikum,

I usually read the posts on siasat.pk just to stay in touch with the siasat, but today, I logged in, especially to respond to the allegations you had made against Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan.

I am not sure, if you know him in personal capacity, but I do. I also have setup several of his programs, where the direction from Bayyinah was not to refuse anyone to attend the program in case they could'nt pay the tuition fee, and let them attend for FREE.

Brother Nouman's intent is to make Bayyinah.tv the largest Islamic online library in the world, where people can get the information. Yes, if you do the religious work for FREE, it is more valuable as compared to you charge for it, in case for Bayyinah.tv it is very nominal price, and they also have the program where you can gift the subscription to someone who could not afford it.

Trying to setup the largest online library needs funds, like any other program, and in order to get the funds he does not want to beg other people for donations, because with that you never know that you can achieve your required target of funds. This is the second time, they introduced the life time membership scheme. With the earlier scheme, they had setup the lifetime membership for $1000, and with that amount, they bought the new building for their Dream students in Dallas. They are also creating the State of the art studio in this building, where they can setup talk shows to talk on different islamic topics and other issues that need proper understanding.

Yes, Bayyinah is generating good amount of funds through this website, but in return they are providing invaluable Islamic information. You are just guessing that Brother Nouman Ali Khan is spending all the revenues on him, which I think, is a "Bohtan", and I strongly suggest you to please not to do it any may be, do some more independent research about this and until you do that, update or delete your post, because you really don't know, if he is spending these funds on himself or reinvesting them in his institute/community or to cover the running expenses of his institute.

Jazak'Allah for understanding.

The criticism on this person is totally not fair. I know a very close friend of mine currently working with Google has resigned from Google to go to Texas and spend a couple of years at Bayyenah institute to learn how hot understand Quran. His efforts are getting barakat and pupolarity and leading people to the right path. Therefore, we should refrain from baseless allegations.

I did not see anything wrong with Dr. Zakir Naik video, He is 100% correct. Folks here seems educated and I think, can independently research and come to their own conclusion.

I am very sorry to see that the people like us, who know nothing much about the Deen are talking in this way for the people/scholars who invested their life to serve the Deen of Allah SWT, and passing judgments without any proof or knowledge.

There is no harm in disagreeing, but there is a proper way to do so. When scholars disagree on anything in Islam, they first make du'a for the other scholar, and then propose their understanding about he given topic, and then end their explanation with Wallahu Alam, in case their understanding is not completely proper. But here, people like us who have no knowledge nor they know these Islamic scholars in personal capacity are making these kind of remarks, this really make me sad.

May Allah SWT guide us all. Aameen.

When it comes to normal school education, we'd be spending as much as we can to give the best education to the kids. When it comes to religious education, we want it to be free from 'molvi' sahib and thats it.
If someone is making a worldwide effort and asking for donations for sponsoring it be it travel or organizing classes or expenses etc or even making a reasonable living, I personally do not have any problem until education provided is of good quality.
I personally do not mind if someone charges money and gives education of that standard. Me and my family have been listening to NAK 'FOR FREE on internet' and always benefited from it.
He is one of the most popular Muslims speakers among Muslims living in west and not only of Pakistani origin but all.
Regarding allegations that some brothers are making, very sad if they are true and if they are false, Allah is going to ask on the day of judgement.

I have followed NAk for while and learntmost from him than anyone else. the crticism i see in your analyses are 1. No formal religeous education therfore actually misguiding muslims. 2. Apparently getting rich and making money by selling Quran.

So far I am not convinced on either charge.

One can be self taught and be an outlier. Formal degree does not mean excellence. I know PhDs who dont act like ones. And there are people like Einstein who changed the world

He has thousands of hours of video content. Point out religeously objectionable content.

Regarding money I saw two sub charges. 1. Financial benefit from religion is not allowed. Therefore his subscription is haram. Implication was made that free stuff on youtube is only to attract more subscibers. 2. He is bebefitting personally in millions and his intentions are making money.

For 1. I am not convinced yet. For 2. I decide to keep husn zann as I see speculation untill proven conclusively.

Also, I decide to ignore far fetched allegations of him being an atheist, which maybe a major sin.

Understood subscription part. You would have to show what he does with money. How are assets handled. People who work for Bayyinah seems satisfied. Alarm would ring if an insider breaks away and alleges financial corruption. Not outside speculators like us
