Setting a unique example of love for the motherland, Pakistani singer Ali Zafar refused to sing Hindustan Zinadabad. It is the proof of his loyalty with the country. Some people forget love for country in sake of wealth and popularity and these people sing the songs of that country where they go. But Ali Zafar has set an example of patriotism. In an interview with Indian journalist Lipika Varma, Zafar was asked: will he sing a song with initial line Hindustan Zindabad. Ali Zafar replied that he is a patriotic Pakistani and will never sing such a song.

If we apply your aforementioned logic to all across the board then all those Pakistanis' living abroad are not loyal or patriotic and by this token then we can not even have trade with other countries which might be percieved as 'Not our friends'??
When a Pakistani works anywhere in the world he/she does it to earn a livlihood and as long as it is within the ambit of the laws and kwaneen laid down by Islam it is alright.
I personally think that if this news is true then Ali Zafar is a good man who understands his limits and chose to be honest about them, this way if he does not get invited to india or the indians do not want to listen to his songs then he makes a biggotry in indian character obvious, on the other hand if he gets invited then he has made his position clear to them.

I don't know what is wrong if a non-resident singer sings "HINDUSTAN ZINDABAD"? Nothing harm in it as long as he remains loyal to Pakistan. He should taken as a gesture of friendship with India.
If he sang, it would have been much better than those Pakistani actresses who work in Indian movies with full of vulgarity and bring a bad name to Pakistan.

Sorry to say i can only see in your own words bigotry and double standards in your thinking. If Pakistan was providing me with the job and feeding my family i would have no problem saying Pakistan zindabad. Looks like in Pakistan person who loves his country and works for it is not patriotic but any thug who shouts loudly India murdabad is considered as the biggest hero. May be this singer knows about Pakistani nature and just playing safe. However I think this is fake news as i could not find any such story in Indian media. Recently he said he wants to play MR INDIA. Once Pakistani comes to India he forgets about Pakistan.

What I do not get is that what is wrong with making your choice clear before hand and what is wrong with declining to do something you are not comfortable with? You are trying to give it some colour which probably will serve some purpose close to your heart. You are comfortable with Pakistan Zindabad, good! zindabad1 but that does not mean that I am now bound by your actions to reciprocate, that is your choice and the other is mine, is this not the essence of democracy that your country lays a claim to most vociforously and proudly.?

Its not the point to call Zindabad to any nation, as far as not calling Murdabad, everything is correct, the basic issue has been remain as is, whats the point of refusing by singing Hindustan Zindabad, once getting whole bread and butter from Hindustan and still looking forward to gain more from Hindustan, than whats the point in having not singing Hindustan Zindabad, except fooling around Pakistanis. lol and definitely Some Pakistanis will appreciate this spirit, they will not look beyond how much money this guy had made and how much he is going to be, for them this will be a big issue, that this guy refuse to sing Hindustan Zindabad or may be he will demand more to sing Hindustan Zindabad. Five cheers for Ali Zafar...... He stood up for his motherland when it mattered somewhat. Working and making living in India is one thing but the host asked him to sell his conscience. The journalist wanted to coax YES out of him but she got disappointed.

I have not missed the point but I do fail to understand the big issue being created . Ali Zafar was singing in india because indians wanted to listen to him and if they have now want him to sing hindustan zindabad and he refuses to do that then this can be viewed as indians trying to trap him for they should have asked him if he would be willing to do that in 2-3 years time from then. I think we are being unreasonable in the crticizm, he did what he believed to be right and did not decieve any one.
