Punjab places online real-time data of Student, Teacher Attendance, School Facilities and District Admin visits for 52,000, 10,866,933 students and 321,064 teachers.

The link for accessing district-wise Statistics is given below. The data corroborates with many independent sources such ASER and Alif Ailan. Data has been acquired through Geo-tagging of these schools, and MEA teams visits to every single school.

On clicking on individual districts on the map, you can view the performance of every school in the district. For example, the following data shows school cleanliness statistics between 2013 and 2015 for schools of Nankana Sahib District.

I check the site how come i c the school data from it ... as it is just showing the graph and how come they r collecting the data ? did they made computerised system in ever school or they hire ppl who go ever day collect the data and then put on the site ... if both r not done then how they r showing the results ??? i hope its not an other drama ... becz i think its a good idea

Data was collected by visits from 890 Monitaring and Evaluation Teams(You can see details) by a program funded by UK's DFID. (This program has been recently also started in KPK where they call them IMUs).

Data can be entered electronically using PITB's app downloadable at Android Store and IPhone download center.

Thats a nice step, i hope they computerise it as this data still be faulty and it might be very diff to collect it everyday ... a simple bio metric scan machine in every school can do the job atleast for teachers ...
again i think this kind of things we should push govt.s to do :)

Good step being a PTI supporter i will appreciate and encourage every step related to education and health and betterment of health despite the differences with Panjab and federal government this is one of those steps which are great for public and students.

What do they mean by real-time. You mean guys there having devices in there hand and they feed in the information and it will be reflected on the web server right away?
or they feed it to the server at once at the end of the day ?

And every school has it or just trial run on main/important school in the region? and every responsible has the mean to buy the device aka phone?

Beyond this, the PITB's app(if you see it at Android Play Store) has a complete form that these MEAs can use to upload data. According to PITB, an authorized MEA personnel can immediately upload data and that starts reflecting on the website right away.

I thought 890 teams visited for some initial stuff/installation etc... but it looks like real-time is just marketing stunt for now...

Punjab govt ka yeh bahot acha step hai ... mujhey umeed hai ke iss ko regularly update kia jaata rahay gaa... yeh real time data nahee hai ... leken phr be we must appreciate it.

Main ne apnay gaaon ka school check kia hai uss mein info ghalat di gayee hai woh sahee nahee hai. Teachers ki info ghalat hai wahan.

Aik sath walay gaaon k school ka data b theek nahee hai, leiken mujhey umeed hai k Punjab govt inn minor mistakes ko jaldi theek ker le gee.

That is the best part. Now you can visit your village school and make a video showing attendance is not correct, and it contradicts Govt's claim :)

I have been saying that opposite to corruption is transparency, not anti-corruption. Anti-corruption squads or witch hunts do nothing but generate more corruption, instead as more and more information is made transparent, the margin to do corruption gets limited.

Even if the data is monthly, I don't mind. A bio-metric system in every school would be ideal but I don't think it is necessary as much. May be a better way can be to identify the lowest attendance schools, and only install BMS in the worst performing ones.
