Air India plane makes emergency landing in Nawabshah

An Air India plane made an emergency landing at Nawabshah airport on Monday due to technical malfunction,Express News reported.

The Airbus A320 from Abu Dhabi made the unscheduled stop at Nawabshah airport Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesman Pervez George told AFP. Express News had earlier reported that the plane was coming from Dubai.

“A group of Indian technical experts will arrive in Nawabshah by 11:45am on another plane that will take the passengers to Delhi before the technicians fix the plane,” he said.

The Indian captain was offered use of the airport lounges for the flight’s 122 passengers and eight crew, an official said, but refused.

“We had offered full cooperation to them but the Airbus captain did not allow the passengers to disembark and requested just for drinking water,” Sultan Hasan, spokesman for the state-run Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), told AFP.

he did not want to step foot on the soil of this Pak country because he knew his country is a big lier and I respect him for the thought!;)

Don't think there was any reason to disembark as it was a short flight Abu Dhabi to New Delhi and create further delay knowing another plane is on the way....

I read a few when that Indian helicopter accidentally crossed into Pakistan...howlarious...:lol:...but this is a passenger jet only so I am sure people won't get that worked up over it..

Why did they need to make an emergency landing? There was something not right with the plane, right? and when that happens passengers are supposed to be evacuated until the matter is resolved.
I don't know why they did not keep on flying if this was such a short flight!

not necessarily........the evacuation part comes into picture after the engineers have inspected the fault and they feel the plane needs to be evacuated to carry out their work.......other scenario is if the captain feels the plane might blow up after landing........

precautionary measure......it was simple, you should have known........
don't get it what actually you wanted to convey through your post......
a) it was all drama?
b) required or not the plane should have been evacuated?
c) there was no need for any precautionary measure and the flight should have carried on?
