very said to see you in this situation uncle but you knew what he was doing and what were his opinions about religion . sorry to say may be it is difficult for you but non of your statement backs any of his posts i havent seen any of his post about hazrat umar instead i have seen his post where he abused prophet . my condolence to you what was happened shouldnt have happened

I have seen some posts, if true then although I agree that he was ulawfully murdered, I don't have any sympathy for him. He ridiculed Allah, Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Quran, in my 20 years in Britain nobody in Britain has ever said the words that this guy posted in his posts and argued with other muslim men about it. People in the West respect our religion and any ill thoughts or publications towards it is strongly condemned. It wasn't just his belief he was openly influencing to astray others. The problem with our society is, people spend a few years abroad and then start to think they knew everything.
It is totally wrong and unlawful the way he was killed and those who have done it should be punished, however this guy on his facebook calls himself an atheist (huminist), people who don't believe in god and religion, and he was arguing with other Muslim men about why he is right that there is no god and religion has nothing to do with anything and ridiculed Allah, Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the holy Quaran. The bad words from the posts have been edited because they are derogatory and people don't want to see them.
But it he should have been arrested and warned not to spread rubbish like that, people in Europe even abstain for derogatory remarks about other people's religion.

The people who killed him led many more astray than what He could've possibly done with his posts. I don't feel any sympathy either for anyone - except for the innocent who were killed.
Mashal couldn't astray anybody, the only main issue is he in his post was ridiculing Islam, that, in a Muslim country so openly can be extremely dangerous and that took his life, the people who took his life shouldnt have done that they should be punished for it but the university should have taken action against him, I don't care how liberal someone is, nobody has the right to make fun of our religion. There are hundereds of thousands of sikhs, Hindus, and Christian lives in Pakistan, nobody is killing them, so his belief was not what lead to his death it was his ridicule of Allah, Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the holy Quran that lead to his death. And you are right our sympathy must be with the innocent, but the question, was he innocent?? which is why he should have been reported to law enforcement who should have properly investigated the issue.
I once asked a Christian, why He doesn't believe in Islam. He told me he doesn't believe in Muhammad(saw). I Told him congratulations you've just blasphemed. Then he asked me why I don't believe in Christianity. I told him I do, just that I don't believe Jesus was/is God. He told me, congratulations you've just blasphemed as well. Then I asked a Hindu guy why he doesn't believe in any of these monotheistic religion, he told me because he thinks these are just storytellers and he likes the ones that tell stories of Hindu Gods. So we told him you too blasphemed. The atheist among us told us you all are committing intellectual blasphemy.
You are saying nobody should be allowed to make fun of your religion. Your disbelief in other religion is a Blasphemy of other religion. Next time you meet a Pakistani Christian, just think about it; they don't believe your religion! Do you ever wonder why that is so? If they told you, would that be Blasphemy?
This whole "Making fun.." whining that Religious people do; do they not realize that someone who is not religious, this importance to Religion IS infact Intellectual Blasphemy on them? The only difference is they don't kill you for it. While the religious types do. Which one is the better man?
And the question of was he Innocent, then the answer is Yes he was; because he wasn't proven guilty in any court. That is how history will record his name.

Already you see a lot of folks who cannot see the injustice that has been done in their Prophet's(saw) name. Kahan hain yeh sab Ashiq-e-Rasool jo Rasool(saw) ke naam pe banday qatal karte hain? Aap woh video dekh lain jis mein iss bhudday baap ke jawaan baitay ko mara ja raha hai... Aap ghaur se dekhain ke kaisi shakalain hoti hain Ashiq-e-Rasool ki. Aapko pata chal jaye ga. Duniya ko jaise nazar araha hai.
I could not sleep properly since I saw that video. I am feeling so sorry for his poor family. This was a heinous criminal act against humanity in the name of religion. I feel sick to my stomach when I think of these so called ignorant animals who call themselves lovers of prophet.

Don, t spread false, muslims believe Isa was a true messenger. So no muslim can abuse Isa AS. Even muslim gives more respect to Isa AS than Christians themselves. But muslims do not follow christianity because they have amended things. And we have Islam to follow. And many christians living in Pakistan they do not believe in islam and prophet SAW. But no body go and harm them. believing and not believing in one or other religion is not the question. Its the disrespect, abusing others religions and personalities which create problems.

وہاں کتنے ہی بلکہ اکثریت کی تعداد اب کسی نبی پیر تو دور الله اور مذھب نام کو مانتے ہی نہیں ہیں اب وہ سارے گستاخ کیسے آپ جیسوں کے ہوتے زندہ ہیں اور آپ کی ان سے دوستیاں بھی ہوتیں ہیں ، ان سے ہم داد اور مدد بھی طلب کرتے ہیں اور انہیں ملحد اور گستاخوں سے اولادیں بھی ہوتی ہیں
