There is no such thing as a limited war or tailored response, these terms are used to fool people. I recall how after 26/11 when Bharat spoke of a strategic attack on certain parts of Pakistan only to be told by Musharraf that expect a non-strategic reply within 30 minutes(clap)(clap)(clap). In other words you attacking us means war will then take place how we want it then. I am not sure how capable the Syrian army is or what weapons or options they have at their disposal if attacked.
