LAHORE: At least seven people have been wounded in two back-to-back blasts in different parts of the city on Saturday.
The first explosion took place outside a net caf situated in Garhi Shahu followed by another blast in Baigum Kot.
The law-enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area. The security has been beefed up in the city.
Sources told SAMAA that security agencies were informed in advance about the possibility of the blast.
The law enforcement agencies specially Punjab police was criticized for Data Darbar suicide blasts where over 50 people were killed and more than 100 others injured.
The Punjab provincial government took extraordinary measures but these explosions after Data shrine could make the situation critical for the government.
Lahore DCO Sajjad Bhutta confirmed first blast, saying that three people have been injured in the Crown Internet Caf blast in Garhi Shau.
Bhutta said that there was no such information that explosion will happen.
Such attacks occur on weekends.
He appealed the citizens to inform the police about suspected movement or the people.
Lahore CCPO Aslam Tarin did not confirm the Baigum Ko blast. The police are working to trace such suspects.
