What would have been the final result of such an idiotic action if those few soldiers would not have come down to the plains ? First, they would have been slaughtered as they were slaughtered when coming down. Eventhough, Nawaz asked Americans to negotiate the time frame so these soldiers can come down without any aerial bombardments. Secondly, The Indians mobilized their forces at the western frontiers and were threatning to attack pockets of different areas along the border. That could have started a war in which Pakistan was not ready to fight at that time because of its financial situation. And even if these hills remained under Pakistani control, that would not make any lasting Impact on Indian forces in Siechin. This idea of capturing the hights was discussed many times in the past and was rejected precisely for the same reason of not having a long lasting advantage and difficult to maintain. I think this idiot doesn't have a brain to visualize the impact the whole country will have to bear. This was an adventure Pakistan was ill prepared to take.
