چین 2 ارب ڈالر پاکستانی زرمبادلہ میں جمع، برآمدات تین گنا بڑھائیگا

اسلام آباد (خالد مصطفیٰ) چین پاکستان کے زر مبادلہ زخائر میں دو ارب ڈالر جمع کرائے گا اور پاکستان سے برآمدات تین گنا تک اضافہ کرے گا۔ اس سلسلے میں نو نومبر کو بیجنگ میں ایک اجلاس ہو گا جس میں اس کی تمام تفصیلات طے کی جائیں گی، وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے مشیر برائے کامرس، ٹریڈ اینڈ انڈسٹریز عبدارزاق داؤد نے تصدیق کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ چین نے پاکستان کو یقین دہانی کرائی ہے

کہ پاکستانی مصنوعات کی برآمدات تین گنا بڑھائی جائیں گی۔ اس سلسلے میں وفاقی کابینہ کے ایک رکن نے جو چین کے دورے میں شامل تھے نے دی نیوز کو بتایا کہ اب یہ طے کرنا ہے کہ دو ارب روپے پاکستانی زرمبادلہ میں جمع کرانے میں کتنی رقم چینی کرنسی میں ہوگی دورے میں شامل رکن نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ وفاقی وزیر خزانہ اسد عمر اس سلسلے میں ایک پریس کانفرنس کے زرئعے قوم کو بتائیں گے۔ تاہم ان کا کہنا تھا پاکستانی لیڈر ز کو صاف الفاظ میں کہا کہ پاکستانی صنعتکاروں کو اس سلسلے میں اپنی استعداد میں اضافہ کرناہوگا اب یہ پاکستانی ذمے داری پاکستانی

صنعتکاروں کی ہے کہ کیا وہ اس معیار پر پورے اترتے ہیں یا نہیں اس کے علاوہ چین پاکستان کے لئے شوگر اور چاول کے برآمدات کے لئے ایک اسپشل کوٹہ بھی جاری کرے گا۔ 9نومبر کو چین میں ہونے والے اہم اجلاس میں سیکریٹری آف فائنانس، وزارت خارجہ امور کے سیکریٹری، کامرس اور گورنر اسٹیٹ بنک آف پاکستان شامل ہونگے جو ان تمام امور کو عملی جامہ پہنانے ایک منصوبہ بندی کریں گے۔اس وقت پاکستانی ایکسپورٹ 120سے 150ملین ڈالرز ماہانہ ہے جوبڑھ کر دو سو ملین ڈالر تک کی جائے گی۔

Now this is exactly what i think as well.... I am in import/export business and i know that its not easy for us to increase our exports or decrease our imports by just playing with taxes, policies etc.
Pakistani Manufacturers, Suppliers need to step up their game, need to improve quality and above all need to understand/learn ethics of business.
During last 30 years, we are way behind.....yes way behind in terms of value added (finished) products when compared to rest of world.
We lacks quality in finished goods.
We are only supplying/exporting raw products because their quality is preserved by Nature :) though i have doubts that Pakistani exporters must be doing some "hera-pheri" in raw material as well.

Pakistani exporters:
i) Need to be innovative in terms of products (Value added products)
ii) Need to match worldwide export quality
iii) Need to be truthful and fair in terms of business dealing ( No cheating)
iv) Pakistani Shipping Industry and Customs need to be ethical while delivering exports ( no cheating again)
v) Modern technology, Latest machines and Skilled Labor to understand technology and operate machines ... very very important.

Unless we raise the quality of our exports (which is in hands of Manufacturers) we CANNOT compete with international competitors.

I have few outlets in Pakistan and i almost import 90% of stuff from East Asia. Its not that i do not want to put "Made in Pakistan" products in shelves, but the difference between quality of stuff is so wide that i have no choice. Either i have to lose customers due to quality of Pakistani finished products OR i have to keep on importing foreign goods.

No Business would want to import anything if same is available within Pakistan.

Its just we do not have choice in terms of Quality... Keep aside foreign exports or supplying, we have a big potential of national consumption but since our own products do no match quality therefore we are bound to import products for our national supply as well...

And in this issue, Govt. or IK can do little (may be relax taxation on latest machinery, or provide grants to Educational Institutes to research OR have agreements with countries for Technology Transfer as it was a case with JF-17 build) but major responsibility is with Pakistani Manufacturers/Exporters/Suppliers to be at same level of quality as other international competitors.

Sounds good but the major question is how?

Pakistans current exports are around 23 billion dollars , how are they going to reach around 70 billion dollars?

I think they mean around 25% which sounds a little realistic , the additional 6 billion dollars exports will be superb if happens.

We can increase exports finished products also made quality products for home customers..Only needs to eleminate corruption in current corrupt Mafias ruled system..
