In Punjab there was election in 139 constituencies out of the total 141. Elections in 2 constituencies was postponed.
PMLN fielded 125 candidates. And they supported independent or the PPP candidate on the remaing 14 seats.
They did not field a candidate in 10 south punjab constituencies and similarily did not field a candidate in NA 114-Jhang, where there was a contest between the two heavy weights; Faisal Saleh Hayat and Mehmoob Sultan. MLN had no candidate in this constituency that could get even 20.000 votes. It is always between these two.
They supported ex mayor Ch. Nazir's son Asim Nazir in NA 101 Faisalabad and PTI was defeated by more than 50.000 votes. The other two constituencies where they did not field a candidate were NA 98 Bakhar and NA 116 Jhang. On NA-116 jhang the old Sipah e sahaba man Asif Muavia has always been a MLN man. He contested as an independent.
