We can't afford to have civil war on the basis ethnicity . If Pakistan wants to do well in 21st century then every one has to be on the same page .People are confusing the criticism on Punjsbi govt with Punjsbi and pashtoon issue . Those people who criticising discrimination against pashtoon in Punjab was against Pmln govt not against Punjsbis or Punjab .

I love Punjabis as a pashtoon . Punjabis are talented ,hard workers and true Pakistani and I know majority of Punjabis love pashtoons but here the problem is with Pmln govt both in Punjab and in Islamabad . They didn't tackle this sensitive issue with care .

If you have entry(clearance) from the local police station then you don't face much issues except for being stopped at every checkpoint or your house being searched at mid night.But these are small issues for BRAVERY PUKHTOONS who are ready to sacrifice their last bit of self respect for the NATIONAL INTEREST.

Come on, I am living on Punjab border and there are so many punjabi and pakhtun there, a real big mixture and I have never seen any decsrimination on basis of ethnicity The only problem is that afghanistan is creating trouble in our cities and you will accept it too.... May be it is easier for you to differentiate between an afghan and pakistani pashtun but how can you expect from someone sitting in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to know who is afghan and who is Pakistani. So if someone asks to stop at a check post , it is for the good of everyone... when someone explodes, he never sees whether Punjabis are being burnt or pashtun are being killed....

I agree with you to the extent that common people have nothing against each other,in fact i personally believe that punjabies are the most tolerant and peaceful ethnic group in Pakistan.Having said that,aPunjabi elite/establishment is more venomous than a black mumba.These very people are responsible for the migration of Pashtoons into urban Punjab in large numbers.
Current operations in Punjab is against PATHANS irrespective of wether they are from Afghanistan or Pakistan.Lets not down play it by calling it operation against Afghan refugees,which is also against international laws and basic human rights.Anyways Pashtoons as a nation are going through very hard times and their leaders have so far been unable to drive them out of this situation.
