کراچی: پاکستان کا پہلا سیٹلائٹ مشن چاند پر روانہ ہوگیا۔

پاکستان کا پہلا سیٹلائٹ مشن 2 بج کر 28 منٹ پر خلا میں بھیجا جائے گا، چاند پر پاکستان کا پہلا سیٹلائٹ مشن’آئی کیوب قمر‘چین کے ہینان اسپیس لانچ سائٹ سے روانہ ہوا۔

انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی کے رکن کور کمیٹی ڈاکٹرخرم خورشید نے جیونیوز سے گفتگو میں کہا کہ پاکستان کا سیٹلائٹ مشن 3 سے 6 ماہ تک چاند کے اطراف چکر لگائے گا، سیٹلائٹ کی مدد سے چاند کی سطح کی مختلف تصاویر لی جائیں گی۔

Title of this it’s is misleading.Pakistan is not land anything on the moon.It is sending a nano satellite on the Chinese rocket which will orbit the moon and take images.This may encourage youngsters to study subjects related to space eg astronautics,satellite construction etc.Pakistan has a long way to go before it can launch it’s own satellites or send missions to moon.

That is true, but the title is also not saying anything about landing.
Along with imaging, this satellite will also monitor the Radon Emissions from the moon's surface.
Indeed it is a very small step. But it could be the first drop of the rain.
Let us cherish the pictures of the moon from the other side which we never see, and call them as our own.
