There is no doubt, Pakistani media cutting the foundation of Pakistan and Islam. If I have any authority would have banned the whole media. It is not serving any purpose but damaging out values and culture.

The rot goes far deeper. GHQ has also been hiring media personalities primarily for selling its political agenda. About India and Liberal agenda it was Musharraf who spearheaded these policies. He openly claimed his wishes to follow the Ata Turk model which is a complete opposite of ideology of Pakistan.

I did think about Musharraf's interest in FREE MEDIA to propagate his ATTA TURK style views in the form of ENLIGHTENED MODERATION....However He was a stupid leader who could not realize that US did not pressurize him unless they got their MEN INDUCTED in the MEDIA like NAJAM SETHI, HAMID MIR NUSRAT JAVED etc etc.....From day one they were on American side.....To make you understand I would mention here Taliban Whom Pakistan Army used as STRATEGIC ASSEST, now every knows that they are STRATEGIC ASSET of INDIA and US........ As far Military's involvement in managing media, it was a REACTIONARY Tactic to damage the control and create Equilibrium in the media...........Mubashar Luqman's is a latest Example.....Military's media management is pro Pakistan, not vice versa........Hope this will clarify the points you raised in your post...
