ECP urges Imran to respond to contempt notice by May 8[/h]

Chief Election Commissioner [CEC], Sardar Mohammad Raza, on Monday, asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf [PTI] chairman Imran Khan to submit a reply to the contempt of court notice issued against him.

Heading a four member bench hearing the case of irregularities in party funds at the Election Commission of Pakistan [ECP] office, the CEC warned PTI lawyer, Anwar Mansoor, saying if Imran refused to submit his reply before May 8, the ECP will issue an order. He also asked Mansoor to advise his client from making irresponsible statements that bordered on contempt of court.

The foreign funding case was first filed in November 2014 by PTI founding member and former central vice president, Akbar S Babar, who alleged major corruption and illegal foreign funding of the PTI.

Radio Pakistan quoted PML-N leader, Daniyal Aziz, telling the media that PTI is now using different tactics to hide the transactions of funds, adding that his party had offered itself for accountability and other parties will also be brought before the institutions for accountability.

This is the displayed by PMLN as the biggest issue of Pakistan.

In plain words the case is that PTI got funds from individuals and companies that were based abroad. Why are they calling it corruption corruption. It is not my tax money or govt related fund.

If they don't give it a political spin, it is straight forward case, fuelled by revenge, by a petitioner who left PTI in 2002 and then joined again in 2011 and then was kicked out. You can understand his grievances.

Trust me the day PTI hurts Pakistan, I will be the first to raise voice against it.

It's very easy procedure, just file an application to NAB and they would do the rest. They have the proper jurisdiction over matters of financial corruption.

as per your logic, why can't we ask our country's PM the same questions? Why do you run off from those and try to spin that like PTI fabricated all those. Rehman Malik as a director of FIA conducted the whole investigation and ICIJ published those Panama documents on their website. Why the same logic doesn't uphold there.
By the way, I replied to your question earlier, may be you or your party leaders should go to NAB, that is the proper platform for investigation.

Daniyal is a wayward politician looking for a pat on the back from maryam at the end of each day, so I can ignore him.

As for you, I assume you ask these questions AFTER reading the audited financials that have been posted in public domain for so long? And after reading the response submitted by PTI to the ECP...which contains complete 'official' money trail?

Let us first see what IK says about this stolen party fund, then all doors will be opened. No worries man

Since you hae more understanding than I do, you surely must have known that that is exactly what PTI has been doing all this time...by submitting its "official" money trail, not some idiotic letter. As far as contempt issue is concerned, that is the ECP head's personal vendetta against IK, owing to him being a darbari of the Sharifs. Follow the proceedings, not daniyal....then your understanding will grow at a slightly faster pace.
