پاکستان کے غیر ملکی زرمبادلہ کے ذخائر میں مسلسل آٹھویں ہفتے کمی ہوئی ہے، اس ہفتے زرمبادلہ کے ذخائر میں سات کروڑ بیاسی لاکھ ڈالر کی کمی ہوئی ہے۔
اسٹیٹ بینک پاکستان کے مطابق سات کروڑ بیاسی لاکھ ڈالر کمی کے بعد پاکستان کے پاس غیر ملکی زرمبادلہ کے ذخائر پندرہ ارب نواسی کروڑ ڈالر رہ گئے ہیں۔

پاکستان اسٹیٹ بینک کے ذخائر تیرہ کروڑ پچاسی لاکھ ڈالر کم ہوکر آٹھ ارب چوراسی کروڑ ڈالر رہ گئے ہیں۔شیڈولڈ بینکوں کے پاس موجود ذخائر چھ کروڑ ڈالر اضافے سے سات ارب چار کروڑ ڈالر ہو گئے ہیں۔

Oh and you think the best way to deal with it is, borrow money and invest it in rupee to keep the value down?, that is suicidal and unsustainable. Yes it will impact imports but that is exactly why it’s a good thing, Pakistan’s imports way higher than exports and if it wasn’t for remittances, we wouldnt be able to buy anything. The only way to deal with this is to let the market decide its value and create economic environment for investment so people work, earn money, pay taxes and exports increase, this is the only way out of it, which is what the current government is doing.

The situation isn’t easy and will remain difficult for a few good years, but Pakistanis are used to the habit of buying success, it doesn’t work and we have to walk away from it.
