وفاقی وزیر ریلوے شیخ رشید نے کہا ہے کہ ریلوے خسارے میں ہے اور اس کیلئے بیل آؤٹ پیکج لینے کی بجائے چاہتے ہیں کہ حکومت ملازمین کی پنشن اپنے ذمے لے لے ۔ انہوں اسلام آباد میں پریس کانفرنس کے دوران کہا کہ وہ اب وزیر ہیں اس لئے کوئی ان کی جنرل قمر جاوید باجوہ سے ملاقات پر سوال نہیں اٹھا سکتا اس لئے وہ چاہیں گے کہ ریلوے کا ایک بڑا حصہ فوج کے کاروباری اداروں این ایل سی (نیشنل لاجسٹک سیل) اور ایف ڈبلیو او (فرنٹیئر ورکس آرگنائزیشن کے حوالے کیا جائے ۔

شیخ رشید کا یہ بھی کہنا تھا کہ راولپنڈی سے جہلم تک ریلوے ٹریک کو بہتر بنانے کا ٹھیکہ بھی این ایل سی اور ایف ڈبلیو او کے حوالے کیا جائے اور اس کیلئے ٹینڈر بھی نہ کیا جائے ۔

مہربانی کر کے گمراہ نہ کریں ـ یہ حکومتی ادارے ہیں ویسے ہی جیسے این سی سی اور نیسپاک یا پی ڈیبلیو ڈی وغیرہ تھے اور ہیں اور انکا ٹینڈر لازم نہیں ہوتا، آپکا اعتراض کس بات پر ہے؟

ویسے ریلوے لائینز کو پرائیویٹ پارٹی کو دینے کی بات خاص پسند جبتک کہ خسارا ختم کرنے کا مربوط پلان سامنے آئے مگر ابھی شیخ صاحب کو مکمل پلان بنانے کا موقع کب ملا ہے کہ آپ یا میں اعتراضات کھڑے کریں، ابھی ہم دونوں سال بھر انتظار کریں ​

Are you serious?
Not at all - Only those who were inducted illegally or didn't qualify for the post should be removed/demoted after due legal procedure. Further corrupt officers should be made accountable as promised. Party affiliation shouldn't a consideration in this process at all.

Government employees should not take political sides. They are supposed to work with every government of any political party.

Taking sides while on job or acting illegally is a different issue. Supporting a political party (or engaging in political activity) is a different issue. Political Association is basic right of citizens and it should be taken away with due consideration and discretion.
At present government employees cannot become a MEMBER of a political party anyway.
(Though I personally disagree with this rule; Govt. employees up to a certain scale should retain their right to become a party member. However army or police or investigators and other such imminent institutions should be barred from any kind of political activities at all.)
